Next on our blog, a fun filled engagement session with Shanice and Andrew! We met up in the heart of downtown Greensboro on somewhat of a slow weekend. It was a perfect scenario for us because we were able to maneuver around without any problems. One thing that I noticed right away is the connection this great couple had with one another. It was obvious to see the love they have for each other. I look forward to capturing their "I Do's" this weekend at the beautiful Villa de l'Amour. Congrats on your engagement guys!
Last wedding season, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Dana and Anthony's beautiful wedding day. Going with a nautical theme, this couple vowed their love before family and friends at the elegant Embassy Suites. Once their "I Do's" were taken care of, they enjoyed the rest of the night partying with their wedding guests. I enjoyed my time with this great couple. Thanks for making me part of the family guys!
A few weekend's ago, I had the pleasure of documenting the wedding of a great couple. Michele and Kwame confessed their love in a beautiful traditional wedding in front of close family and friends. Once they said their "I Do's", they partied the night away at the elegant Mint Museum Uptown. It was an absolute joy hanging out with this fun couple! Since their wedding, Michele and Kwame's big day has been featured in Essence (View here). Congrats guys and I wish you a lifetime of joy!
Another wedding season is upon us! What better way to celebrate than with a blog post! :) Last year, I had the privilege of photographing Lauren and Crandall in the heart of downtown Greensboro. Although Mother Nature threatened for the majority of the day, the rain held off just enough for us to enjoy our session. As we ventured through downtown, I was able to really get to know this great couple. It was a pleasure spending time with them and I look forward to documenting their Big Day this weekend at the luxurious Grandover Resort. Congrats on your engagment guys!

Although the majority of my portrait sessions involve engaged couples, I find it special when I get to photograph a husband and wife. I affectionately call these "I Still Do" sessions. It's something about a married couple's interaction with each other that leaves you wanting to know more about their love story. This is to be said about Shannon and Patrick. We roamed through the American Tobacco Campus discussing love, relationships and children. Throughout the session they engaged with each other as if they were the only people on the Earth. Their love for each other was evident. They were definitely a pleasure to work with! Here are a few of my favorites from our time together.
The beauty of being a photographer is witnessing weddings on various ends of the spectrum. From the extravagant venues to the intimate affairs, one thing remains the same...the love between the bride and the groom. When speaking with Fiona and Trey about their wedding, they made it perfectly clear that they wanted their day to be solely about them. They chose to wed in a beautiful garden wedding at the Greensboro Arboretum. Attended by only a select amount of handpicked guests, they said their "I Do's" in an emotional traditional ceremony. Once the preliminaries were out the way, we walked through the park to create some everlasting memories. Congrats guys and I wish you a lifetime of joy!
The holidays, for many, are for family, fun and traditions. For others, they are for making lasting memories. This is to be said for Robyn and Donta. They were engaged on Christmas day last year. As part of their engagement, they contacted me to document this great time in their lives. We met at Tanger Bicentennial Garden for our session. Although Mother Nature threatened during our session, we were able to wait out a brief storm and capture some amazing photos! Congrats on your engagement guys!

"When life hands you lemons, make lemonade..." On the days leading up to my session with Deana and Shay, the forecast previewed a slight chance of rain. Generally, forecasts such as this don't scare me (that much). However, on the day of our session, it seemed like Mother Nature had other plans. When I spoke with them about possibly rescheduling, I also threw out an idea of getting a little "creative". I convinced them that we could shoot in downtown Greensboro at the local Amtrak Station. Seeing this location many times, I often felt like it would be a great place to shoot. I was right, it was a perfect location for this couple and their outgoing personality. Congrats guys on your engagement. I wish the two of you nothing but the best!
When I first met Tierra and Brian, I knew their wedding would be a lot of fun! Their infectious personalities as well as their chemistry with each other had me quite excited to shoot their big day. They chose to host their wedding at the beautiful Revolution Mill Event Center in Greensboro. Attended by the various family and friends, this great couple said their "I do's" in an unbelievable and classic ceremony. Once the formalities were out of the way, they let their hair down and partied the evening away! Since their wedding day, they had the privilege of being featured on the premiere wedding blog, Black Southern Belle (click HERE to view). Congrats guys on your wedding and being featured!
